Assistive Tech

Guide.

(working assistive device that gives occupational therapy patients real-time feedback about their allignment during exercises. It also stores and transmits exercise data to OTs to track patient progress)
I developed this project with an interdisciplinary team of technologists and healthcare providers who believe in improving the experience of physical and occupational therapy rehabilitation. Our main concern was that patients perform most of their exercises on their own, and without feedback or guidance, patients often lose motivation and/or develop habits of performing their exercises improperly. Inspired by the rise of quantified self devices, our team wanted to create a system of support for OT/PT patients that would remove these barriers towards rehabilitation.

Custom Keyboard.

(Working with a woman that has Cerebral Palsy, I co-created a custom keyboard using a consumer-grade microprocessor and digital fabrication techniques.)
